When you work on the binding for arched guitar top and the back, a regular router base will tilt and the alignment can be changed, so you may get the channels too deep or too shallow. Now the problem can be fixed by using our Binding Router Jig, mount your router on this jig, it helps you to cut squared channels perfectly.
The router carriage drives your router up and down vertically and smoothly, it follows your guitar body when you cutting the channels, so you can always get perfectly squared binding channels, and fits your bindings correctly.
There are four body support brackets included, they can be adjusted for your guitar body shapes and heights. This set does not include a Body Cradle, so you can build your own custom shape.
The four mounting holes on the carriage fits 1 HP Bosch Colt Router. Other common laminate routers can be used on this jig too, if your router doesn't fit the mounting holes, then the Router Mounting Template is what you need, it can help you to drill new holes on the router carriage for your router.

My very first solo build, this jig did a GREAT job! I can’t recommend it enough!
Great Jig. Functions just like you would expect and made a perfect ledge. I was able to rebind a LP Guitar with the neck on using this with minimal material removal by hand at the ends. Watch out for your input jack and make sure your bearing doesn't fall into the hole as this will create a once in a lifetime gouge that really isn't repairable. Other than that, you can have the confidence that this jig will create a binding step with no problem. Well worth the price.
Assembly was easy and worked well. My first attempt at cutting binding channels. Came out perfectly 👌
It probably works wonderful for acoustics. But for an archtop like a les paul, it needs just a tad more throat space to get into the horn area. Other than that, it's a solid jig
I had no issues with this binding jig. Assembly and performance was as described. And I actually have much better results with my binding channels.
